Background
Thank you for visiting my website. I use my training as a licensed clinical psychologist with 26
years of post-doctoral experience to assist you and your family in the college admissions process.
I utilize a "positive psychology" model that highlights individual strengths. My extensive
background in psychological assessment and counseling with pre-teens, adolescents, adults and
families enables me to establish rapport quickly, develop a profile of your core strengths, and
help you to translate who you are onto a college application. This puts you in control in
determining your best college matches.
In addition to assisting you in the college application process, I offer a self care program
designed to foster and maintain your health and effectiveness during the college admissions
process, your subsequent college years and later in life. I am an expert in the treatment of
eating disorders, and have treated compulsive overeaters, bulimics and anorexics for 28 years.
I know a great deal about eating behaviors, nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene and stress
management. My objectives are to help you with placement in the optimum college setting, and to
enable you to find fulfillment in school, work and play.
My educational background is:
Ph.D., 1982, Clinical Psychology, Vanderbilt University
M.A., 1980, Clinical Psychology, Vanderbilt University
B.A., 1978, Duke University
